Weddings… Now, what does this word bring to your mind (in case you are already married) – does it stir up your feelings and make you nostalgic? Or, do you get crazy when you recall all those worthless expenditure, hectic planning, defective arrangements, disgruntled guests, etc…. etc.? And, in case you are not married, how do you feel when you hear that word? Does it give you the creeps? Or, are you in the seventh heaven when you think about your prospective marriage?
Of course, your feelings may vary from one extreme to the other. In any case, each one of you will agree with this basic fact: weddings should make people happy; not sad. This is the true purpose of weddings. Your marriage should really be the big day of your life. It should not leave you worrying over your bills, guests, arrangements, and so on.
If you can afford it, opt for lavish weddings. But please do settle on a low budget wedding if you don’t have enough money. There’s no point in organizing an opulent marriage when you are concerned about your next day’s bread. Your marriage should not make you anxious in any way. Renounce your ego and false beliefs; be content with a wedding that suits your finances.
So, if you are on the path to married life, try to make the most of your wedding by choosing a plan that fits your lifestyle. If you are already married, don’t hesitate to share your experiences and valuable suggestions with others. This will really help the novices. Remember, weddings have been established for the benefit of mankind; not for ruining it.
